Other work
- Data Integration. Develop code to parse multiple spreadsheets (i.e. tabular data) and automatically insert various subsets of data (matched using fuzzy search/regular expressions) into a database. I’ve done this type of work countless times for many projects.
- Data modeling and database design. Interviewed stakeholders regarding data management and access needs. Designed data model that accurately describes all data types and their interrelationships. Built database and corresponding web-based user interface to view, query, edit data. Developed add-on features that allow for more sophisticated interaction with data, e.g. graphical visualization, advanced searching, data digestion, interpretation.
- Custom web app development. For example, I developed a web application that queries either a third-party Web Service/API or local MySQL database for product data and generates product barcode labels on-the-fly that are subsequently printed to a Zebra label printer by the user.
- CMS development and management. Installed and configured a Contact/Constituent Relationship Management system for several different organizations. With this system the project members are able to much more easily understand and access data about their constituents, donation history, memberships, event participants, and automate donation transactions.
